School supplies are sold in the bookstore. Students are encouraged to buy school supplies at the beginning of the school day and not during class time. Students are required to have a 3 ring binder with subject dividers, planner (provided), paper, pens (blue or black), and pencils every day. Students are encouraged to supply their own earbuds or headphones when using classroom/lab computer. Additional supplies may be required by individual teachers. Supplies need to be replenished during the year.
Dress Code Appropriate Clothing Needed
SMS is looking for dress code appropriate clothing donations to support our students. All donations can be left at the front desk.
I am a teacher because for the kids who remember me with a smile or even “Gosh Ms. Johnson was tough” or my favorite “You’re the teacher I didn’t ask for but know I needed” in their heart, to them, I changed a small part of their world. It is my hope that they will someday pay it forward, that they will also, in turn, help someone else. I will never be known as one of the greats – like a Nelson Mandela or Mahammad Ali, but I work hard to change the world.
The School District and the County Tax Office are partnering so you can purchase tags created by grade 5 art students, with all funds returning to schools. Order at www.mckta.com
