Head Start is a federally funded program targeting 3 and 4 year-old children from low income families in Stuart, Port Salerno, and Indiantown.  Children enrolled in the Martin County School District Head Start Program follow the K-12 school calendar, are provided full day, quality learning experiences and instruction, as well as free breakfast and lunch. The focus of Head Start is school readiness, for the child and family as a whole.  There is limited enrollment space, so parents are encouraged to apply early. Families who have children with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

To register, parents will need to bring:

Birth Certificate (Must be at least 3 years old by September 1, 2017)
Proof of residency (FPL or cable bill from Jan. or Feb. 2017)
Proof of all household income for 2011 (Examples include: W-2, 1040, TANF, SSI, Alimony, and Child Support)
Proof of documented disability (If applicable)
