The Governor announced that there will be no school grades this year. This does not mean students will not receive grades. This statement references the state accountability system and the issuance of grades to schools and districts in the state of Florida, not to individual student course grades.
We have heard there has been some confusion about student grades. Students will continue to receive grades and report cards as usual. Students must participate in daily instruction and assignments for the remainder of the school year as they will impact their fourth quarter grades. Final report cards for the 2019-2020 school year will be posted to the Focus portal soon after the last day of school and will include grades earned during the period of school closure and virtual education.
The Martin County School District retains its grade of A for the upcoming school year and each individual school retains its current school grade.
