Mr. Alfred Fabrizio

Principal

Al Fabrizio has over 30 years of secondary education experience in the Martin County School District serving as a special education teacher and coordinator, Dean of students, assistant principal of curriculum and the last eight years the principal at Martin County High School. Martin County is a comprehensive high school that serves over 2,200 students.  Mr. Fabrizio has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Social Science and Secondary Education from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Master of Science in Special Education from the State University of New York at Geneseo. Mr. Fabrizio has taken a data-driven approach to all elements that impact student achievement and school culture while always letting the answer to the question, “Is it good for kids?” guide the decision making process. The goal at MCHS is clear, to provide a learning environment that is both safe and promotes learning for our students and adults. The focus remains unchanged, that is to get “each one of our students across their own individual finish line”, crossing the stage at graduation prepared for their post-secondary pursuits. Al is certified as a facilitator through the National Institute for School Leadership Executive Development Program. Mr. Fabrizio’s recognitions include being named his district’s assistant principal of the year and is a recipient of the Florida Department of Education’s 2008 Outstanding Assistant Principal Achievement Award. Al also received the University of Florida Distinguished Educator Award in 2014 as well as completed the Florida Department of Education’s Commissioner’s Leadership Academy in 2016.
