The State of Florida adopted the Common Core State Standards on July 27, 2010.
Florida started rolling out “Common Core State Standards” in kindergarten in 2011-12, followed by first and second grade 2012-13 and 2013-14, with blended instruction in grades 3-8 and 9-12 in 2013-14.
The Florida State Board of Education adopted changes to the standards on Feb. 18, 2014, resulting in new "Florida Standards."
The Florida Standards will be fully implemented with the 2014-15 school year.
