• Hello, this is Alfred Fabrizio, principal of Martin County High School,

First I must say that I have been extremely honored to be your son or daughter’s principal. With our 2019 graduation ceremony scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM on Thursday May 30th there are a several important details I need to share, so I ask that you please listen carefully to this entire message.

Each graduating senior will receive 6 tickets on Thursday morning; 4 tickets for seating in the gym and 2 tickets that can be used to view a live simulcast in the auditorium or cafeteria. In all three locations, doors will open for friends and family at 5:30 PM that evening. Doors for this event will close at 6:50 PM and reopen only after all the graduates have been seated.  We are encouraging all those attending the event to carpool and arrive early due to limited parking capacity on our campus.

Please be aware that to ensure the integrity of this prestigious ceremony and the safety of all, the use of artificial noisemakers such as air horns, whistles, or any other type of noisemaker /as well as the throwing of beach balls /or any other type of ball /during the ceremony is prohibited. Prior to the ceremony, students will be asked to present all items on their person.  Cell phones, cameras and any items that are not permissible or are determined to be disruptive or dangerous will be confiscated by staff. These items will be returned after the graduation ceremony concludes. Again, our goal is to provide a safe and joyous ceremony. Please remind your son or daughter that all cap decorations must be approved by Mrs. Herd prior graduation practices.

Graduates attending Project Graduation must arrive no later than one hour after the end of the graduation ceremony.

All special seating for our handicapped guests must be prearranged; this can be done by your son or daughter speaking with Mr. Cowles. This seating is limited to the individual who needs assistance and one other guest and does require two gym tickets. Information about graduation can also be found on our school website.

I also wanted to share that yearbooks are still available for $120 cash or check, but only while supplies last.

Graduation is a dignified event that allows us to honor all of our graduates and their families. We look forward to an outstanding graduation ceremony and seeing all of you Thursday evening.
