• Band fees

Let's be honest. participating in band is not cheap.... A good musical experience in band requires a good instrument in working condition. Retning from an outside source is the best option for the best band experience. It is however understanadable that the expesne can be too great. Cost for band depends on a couple of factors. Many students use school-owned instruments for a maintenance fee of $55 for the year. But in addition to instrument rental students may need to purchase a mouthpiece for their instrument. Mouthpiece costs depend on the type of instrument. All music is supplied in class. We do have a very limited supply of school-owned instruments, so families are encouraged to rent an instrument from an outside source if it is within their budget, which should be done after school begins.

Each band student (regardless of outside rental or personally owned instrument usage) is required to pay a band due of $55.00 each year. This assessment covers the cost of, instrument maintenance, uniform band shirt, purchase of music, festival fees and assists with the cost of field trips throughout the school year. Students who rent from an outside source are still required to submit the $55.00 band fee.

Checks and money orders payable to: Indiantown Middle School Band. Please include the students' name on the check. Students will be issue a receipt.

If there is a financial situation preventing families from meeting this obligation, please contact Mr. Nottage nottagt@martink12.fl.us : (772) 597-2146 Ext 202.

    School Rental Terms & Conditions

School rental fees are final and non-refundable.

The student may use the instrument at school, but may not take it home until the contract and fee payment is received.

If the rental contract and fee is not received after 2-weeks, the instrument will be made available for another student to rent and the student will have to get their own instrument elsewhere.

A signed rental contract is required, but the student may take the instrument home after the rental payment is made as a temporary rental contract, but the rental contract must be turned in soon after.

Once the rental fee is paid and the contract is submitted, the student is allowed to take the instrument home.

Any repair needed on the instrument before the contract is over is the responsibility of the family.

Any damage to the instrument beyond "regular wear & tear" is the responsibility of the family.

If any family refuses to get an instrument repaired, the instrument will be returned to the inventory as damaged school property and the family will no longer be able to rent instruments from the school until the payment for the repair is made.

The parameters that define "regular wear & tear" are decided upon by the repair shop after the repair invoice is received during Winter Break or Summer Break.
