In addition to the MCSD Dress Code, IMS students are expected to adhere to the following:
1. All students must wear a collared shirt; no more than 2 buttons shall be opened from the top. If a student opts to wear a T-shirt over their collared shirt, the collar must be visibly displayed. Please note that if a shirt is longer than the point where a student’s wrist is located, when their arm is extended straight by their side, they will be expected to tuck it in. No extralong shirts allowed.
2. Belts are only required if pants sag below waistline.
3. All shoes must have closed in toes. Sandals, flip-flops, and slippers are not permitted.
4. No visible piercings are permitted (except on earlobes). On Fridays, or the last day of the week, students are permitted to wear an approved School 18 Spirit Day t-shirt.
Please refer to the Martin County School District Secondary Student Conduct and Discipline Code located at the district and school websites for a comprehensive description the county’s dress code.
